Circus

The Circus is in town!
The genre-spanning 12" debut are from three well known young fellas who formed "circus" moniker to raise the level of Austrian club-music with a little help from top-class international guests.

Felix Bergleiter, better known as Bionic Kid, from Vienna's hip-hop group, Waxolutionists,as well as Daniel and Fabian Schreiber, aka the Twintowas (who've proven their musical talents as the Live-Instrumentalists from the Supercity Soundsystem) are travelling off the beaten track to deliver us some massive broken beat tunes.
The title track, "I know you" also features UK's first lady of jazzy uptempo rap, Lyric L, who's jointly responsible for the broken beat classic "Loose lips" with Seiji back in 2002.
The second voice is a rising star in the west London sky, Motet, live MC from the illustrious Bugz in the Attic collective. The tune perfectly combines rough & authentic broken beats with retro synthesizer lines and an irresistible chorus (and an instrumental version included. The remix on the b-side by the highly acclaimed Inverse Cinematics, takes the listener on a deep and hypnotic journey through tech-house landscapes between wobbling baselines and squeaky noises. Next highlight on this 12" is the semi-broken "Signs" which features one of Vienna's finest vocalists, L'Enfant Terrible, who delivers the bittersweet lyrics of this catchy electrofunk tune. And last but not least the interlude, "Lost #1" rounds things off with a massive but short hip hop rhythm. Altogether, keep some free space in your record-bags because this surefire dance floor filling piece of music is gonna stay for a long time!
