First Burdy began to DJ back in 1993, initially house music but through residency at 'The Room' club in Hull, moved on to DJing Hip-Hop, Abstract Beats and Blunted Techno.
In late 1994, started recording as one half of Baby Mammoth on Pork Recordings with Mark Blissenden, releasing a debut album in August 1996. To date, with the recent release of "Seven Up", there are 7 albums by Baby Mammoth, and numerous remixes, most notably for G-Stone's "Tosca".
These days Burdy dj´s in a more uptempo style, beats of all kinds, Nu-Jazz, Breaks, House etc....things not normally associated with his previous work.
Through the upcoming album "42" on Sunshine Enterprises (Nov. 2002), and particularly through this first release, Burdy wanted to return to the musical styles that first influenced him in electronic music, particularly the feel of Hip-Hop beats and the straight ahead groove of House. Welcome to Burdy´s mind!
